Title: Life after Lilian????
ThingleBrain - October 30, 2007 05:59 PM (GMT)
What happened to the girls after they graduated?
Talon - October 31, 2007 08:10 PM (GMT)
I think Yumi will turn out fine. Judging by the anime (I haven't read the novels), she is getting a lot more confident in herself, especially after watching the OVA's. She has Sachiko wrapped around her finger :P
Unfortunately, the anime really give us no idea what they wish to pursue in life as far as a career goes. I mean, Sachiko is pretty much set for life but with the others, I have no idea.
Chihaki - November 1, 2007 12:00 AM (GMT)
Yeah, their goals.
Each are going in their own paths.
I wonder if Shimako will continue on her supposed target in the first place.
LastRaven - November 1, 2007 01:58 AM (GMT)
I'm just wondering what will happen to Shimako too, considering I have no idea what she want to do with the rest of ther life.
Chihaki - November 1, 2007 02:27 AM (GMT)
Well, it seems that she's now not sure about it.
Maybe with Noriko's help she can finally aim for something.
ThingleBrain - November 1, 2007 08:57 AM (GMT)
I had a hentai here in which men gangrape a Sachiko look-alike.
Chihaki - November 1, 2007 03:04 PM (GMT)
Erk...
Anyway, I wonder what Yoshino will do now.
It's interesting what she'll do.

I hope I don't get to see it man. Nothing makes my blood boil than gangrape, well that's just one out of many other things that make my blood boil.
Anyway going back to the topic, yeah if think about, what do Yoshino, Yumi and Shimako aspire to be?
Snakeboar - November 1, 2007 05:56 PM (GMT)
I can easily see Yumi as a writer in the future, probably after studying literature (Japanese, English) in Lillian University.
As for Yoshino, I can see her as a teacher of history, if she survives. Congenital heart defects, even those surgically corrected, may mean serious trouble for the future, and Yoshino presses her luck quite a bit...
Shimako is a wild card to me, too. I think that she might join a monastic order or become a professional activist.
LastRaven - November 1, 2007 06:02 PM (GMT)

Shimako - Not sure.
Yoshino - I wonder, maybe arts?
Yumi - I'm not sure either. I'm thinking business related. |
Well, considering Yumi's father owns an architectural design company, I guess she will go to business.
LastRaven - November 2, 2007 04:28 AM (GMT)
Ei what is Youko doing by the way? I heard she's taking law.
Chihaki - November 2, 2007 05:41 AM (GMT)
Youko Mizuno, Ace Attorney.
Fits her well! I think maybe defense lawyer perhaps?
Snakeboar - November 2, 2007 08:52 AM (GMT)
Or maybe a politician? Suits her well, with all her meddling ;)
And BTW, Mr Fukuzawa's business will go to Yuuki... ;)
ThingleBrain - November 2, 2007 08:53 AM (GMT)
I'm intrigued about Sachiko's "after lilian" life. She's expected to graduate at the end of the 4th season right?
Chihaki - November 2, 2007 08:56 AM (GMT)
Oh yes.
The tears will commence! Drama ensues!
I wonder if Sachiko will now head the family name.
LastRaven - November 2, 2007 02:54 PM (GMT)
Maybe. BTW, ever thought of what Rei and Sachiko will be?
Chihaki - November 2, 2007 02:59 PM (GMT)
Rei - Maybe Culinary Arts?
Sachiko - I think taking over the family business thing.
LastRaven - November 2, 2007 03:03 PM (GMT)
I think I agree with you regarding Rei. I mean her cakes are so good. Wish I could eat them too.
Chihaki - November 2, 2007 03:13 PM (GMT)
She can start her own specialty restaurant or bakery to further amplify it.
ThingleBrain - November 2, 2007 10:11 PM (GMT)
Who will end up as a mere "office lady"?
Sukoshi - November 3, 2007 12:36 AM (GMT)
Is Sachiko planned to graduate at the end of the 4th season? The novels haven't hit that point yet, so. Plus I've seen a lot of discussion online about whether the series will go on past Sachiko's graduation, because the Marimite novels did technically start with Yumi meeting Sachiko.
Chihaki - November 3, 2007 01:49 AM (GMT)
Hmm... well that's a thought.
But Yumi is the "star" right? So it might end once she graduates.
This is going to be weird.
Sukoshi - November 3, 2007 03:34 AM (GMT)
I would hope Marimite goes past Sachiko's graduation, but I think it will be fairly hard on Konno Oyuki-sensei to continue the same dynamic of Marimite without Sachiko and Rei in the story. The Rosas (at least as far as I am in the novels) seem to be somewhat mysterious, except Sei, but both Rei and Sachiko get a lot of screen time. From Erica's summaries, it seems Noriko gets a lot of screen time too, but it will be pretty hard to keep the story going without Sachiko and Rei. (Not to mention Sei will probably have to move on in life, being a 2nd year in college, and all).
Stephanie - November 3, 2007 07:27 AM (GMT)
Anyway, I only know what will happen to the few ones.
Shimako is going to become a nun..
Being a Buddhist, that's the only reason she went to Lillian anyway, she stated that somewhere in the anime.
I'm not sure, but besides she and Sei being dependent on each other, that may be as well the case why Sei is distancing herself a bit for Shimako.
As for Sei, she's taking Literature course in Lillian University, there's a huge chance she could be a teacher.
As for Sachiko.. Spoiler:
I read somewhere that her parents agreed to cancel her wedding with Suguru.. So now she's free to whom she wants to marry.
Also:
She chose to study in Lillian University. Yumi never asked because she'll get lonely if Sachiko said she's not going to Lillian. So, since she's at Lillian University, Yumi can visit her around. I don't know what her course is though.
Sukoshi - November 3, 2007 08:45 PM (GMT)
Ooh. Yay, that'll be nice. By the way, where'd you hear about <Spoiler 2>?
Chihaki - November 4, 2007 02:10 AM (GMT)
Interesting spoilers.
Hmm... i wonder how will future chapters handle the drama part.
Stephanie - November 4, 2007 06:37 PM (GMT)
Anyway, I do remember Eriko Torii proposing her love for the Elephant man.. So, what do you think will happen? Will they marry or not?
Honestly, I don't understand Eriko. She does things that captivate her, or to take her out of her boredom, because she already knows how things will happen, before they do, which make it hard for her to deal with, says Sei to Yumi.
So, what will happen if Eriko finds the Elephant Man boring?
But, the reason I don't understand Eriko is, she wouldn't even declare marriage until she at least love somebody, right?
Or maybe that's just me.. /swt
*Waaa!! Confusion! @_@*
Anyway, this was skipped in the OVAs, it should've happened between OVAs 4 and 5. Anyway, I'll make it a spoiler if the 4th Season wants to go back at it:
(Btw, I would just like to say, if you don't like being spoiled, then please don't read it.. Have your self-control with you, and it's your own decisions that will lead you where you land.)
Spoiler: Eriko meets Sei at a cafeteria at first. Later, Kei joins them. Kei asked where's Youko, and Sei said only the 2 rosas are there for today. Eriko wants to ask Sei for advice about how the daughter of the elephant man will like her. (Note, his former wife died, so he's free) Sei says she doesn't really know as she has no interest in men. Kei, unpredictably, gave the advice to Eriko instead. She said she hated her step-mother after her former mom died. All her dad did was gave attention to her step-mother and never to her.. So Kei tells that's how the Elephant man's daughter might be feeling..
@Sukoshi

disney72 - November 4, 2007 07:02 PM (GMT)
Eriko=not part of the yuri team.. hahaha! :eriko:
anyways, im more worried with sachiko than i am with yumi. how will she adjust? i mean even if yumi is just a stone throw away, its still different from before where they get a chance to meet after school. now who will handle sachiko's hysterics when yumi's not around? Sei?
Stephanie - November 4, 2007 07:13 PM (GMT)
Umm, I don't think Sei and Sachiko are 'that' close..
Anyway, as Youko said, Sachiko is changing, slowly but surely..
They are dependent on one another, but as I said before, too much dependence can lead to destruction.. Look at Yumi in Rainy Blue Arc..
She wants Sachiko only for her, that she has come to silly conclusions and also became way hysteric herself.. As her brother said, he is worried as she focus her school life all on Sachiko Ogasawara alone.
(And, of course, we see that changed.. ^_^)
ReixYoshino had yellow rose revolution as well.. Yoshino doesn't want to depend on Rei anymore, nor does she want Rei to depend on her.. Thus, she had her operation so they can walk 'shoulder to shoulder' and it was lovely to see that flash back of Yumi in the 4th OVA. n_n
Look as ShimakoxSei as well, the main reason Sei distances herself away from Shimako is fear of too much dependence, because they are exactly alike..
As for Eriko the only one not in 'Yuri' you say..
Spoiler: Yoshino, with her souer Nana, spies the whole day on Rei as there's a rumor she has a boyfriend.
^-That's all I know, I don't even know how it ended up, but thank goodness it's not SachikoxYumi cause I do hope for them.. /sob
disney72 - November 4, 2007 07:41 PM (GMT)
oh my God! Rei! uragirimono!
speaking of yoshino, i also imagined that she could become a really good swords woman and teach PE or something related to that at lilian..
i cant think of someone to be paired with yumi other than sachiko.. sei has her own set of girls to choose from. yeah im all for sachikoxyumi.
Sukoshi - November 4, 2007 08:45 PM (GMT)
Eriko is decent at everything, but not good in any one thing. So she knows she can go only so far before she'll be out of her depth. That's why she likes experimenting with new things, because she thinks that maybe it'll be the one thing that she's good at/won't get bored with. That's my take on it, anyways.
What is this with Rei?!?!?!?! Noooo!!!!
On the dependence thing, I wonder how Noriko and Shimako's relationship will pan out. They seem to be getting close quickly. Also, does anyone know what Katou Kei's relationship is with Sei? I still have hopes for Shiori in the picture so ... I hope Kei doesen't replace her!!!
Chihaki - November 5, 2007 12:25 AM (GMT)
Well that's interesting. Rei doing a "normal" girl thing (in the world of Marimite, this is weird!)
Well, Shirori is still a no show on the current story right?
Stephanie - November 5, 2007 07:44 AM (GMT)
The spoiler stuff, which is suppose to be spoiler so put it in yellow color, as I said, I don't know how it ends.. It's just a rumor right? So, who knows! :D
It may be false, it may be true..
Speaking of non-yuri girls:
Yoshino has a thing for Yumi's brother.
Reaction: Now, it makes me really wonder if there's YoshinoxRei thing afterall T___T Of course I want souer love.. *Devilish grin*
Rats! If Sachiko and Yumi had boyfriends too.. Noooo~!!! D: /sob
Anyway, as for NorikoxShimako.. I'll explain them later.. Quite tired now.. T__T
disney72 - November 5, 2007 12:24 PM (GMT)
nah.. sachiko is too much of a man hater.. i dunno with yumi though.. she's got some sex appeal with the hanadera boys..

If Sachiko's such a man hater, she wouldn't have fallen for Suguru.
In the novels, her sadness and despair from Suguru are much more evident.
She was constantly sighing and she was sometimes staring at the air.
That is why when Sei asked Yumi to call the guards when Suguru was holding Sachiko's right hand and pulling her, Yumi said no as it would mean trouble for Sachiko because Sachiko does love Suguru.
But we see that change, even with the 2nd spoiler Sukoshi mentioned.
You can also see Sachiko and Yumi's conversation about 'Gay' Suguru in "Skipped" part thread.

But we see her overcoming that fear in the 3rd OVA,
she's even at the 2 story feet,
with boys groveling under her feet (Hey! That rhymed!)
And Yumi's 'OK' operation seems to be working.
It is indeed wrong to hate men because of what a few did,
not all men are like that.
Her father had mistress and so does her grandfather,
but because of those childhood memories,
that doesn't mean she should prevent herself
From having relationships with men, right?
(Runs away before SachikoxYumi fans hit me)
disney72 - November 5, 2007 01:36 PM (GMT)
hahaha she was scared. honestly though, you're thinking too much.. if you read my post again, its more of sarcasm than saying that she is..
ok let me rephrase the whole thing...
yumi would most probably have a boyfriend first than sachiko because shes having a hard time dealing with men..
Lorelei - November 5, 2007 01:40 PM (GMT)
If she had, who do you think will it be?
I just wonder, what if Yuuki hits on Sachiko, and Sachiko digs him?
Brother vs Sister! =))
disney72 - November 5, 2007 01:42 PM (GMT)
yayz.. *dies* that i dont wanna see..
FAMILY FEUD!
Yuuki likes nice girls.. can sachiko be considered as a NICE girl? well depending on what yuuki meant by NICE..
