Claymore, Anime & Manga goes here... OST's too...

Well, I don't know if you know, but I'm a huge Claymore fan. I've rewatched that series a ton of times and love just about every episode (however, I hated the last ep.), I currently own all 10 manga volume's, that's all that's been released in the US. I really don't have any one general character I like in the series (yes, I know my signature has Helen in it, but I just found that sig truthful to her character and funny, that's why it's there), however, I hate Raki with every fiber of my being, he ruined the end of the anime's first season.

So, where to begin? Tell us your likes and dislikes of either the manga or anime. What characters you like and don't, etc. Anything that is relevant to the series goes here.

I am currently watching episode 12 and will finish the series by the end of the week. So far I can say that I don't really connect to any of the characters but I do feel kind of bad for Clare due to her past situation. I'll see how I will like it more when I finish it.

I do like the ending song a lot. I don't know why but that singer sounds familiar like I've heard her on another anime song or ddr song. (Okay I just looked her up and she did the DDR song Dive with BeForU)

Some of the background music sounds cool too.

That'd be: "Danzai no Hana ~Guilty Sky~" by Riyu Kosaka. Yeah, I'd have to agree with you, I do find that song catchy when I listen to it.

Alright. I just finished the show and I liked it more than some of the things I've heard over the internet. I was expecting the worst but ended up with a good compromise. The one thing that really bothered me was What happened to that girl Dweller of the Deep? I thought it was going to be some big showdown with her versus the North dude but nothing went down. I kind of wish Priscilla would have died too but that leaves a big "now what" for Clare if that happened. I'm sure the organization will be after them but hey...if Clare can take on the awakened she shouldn't have any problems.

Raki was okay. Episode 24 and 25 I wanted to smack him but I think he was necessary for 26. Raki is Clare in a sense even though their bond isn't as tight as Clare and Teresa. Teresa could suppress her will to kill Priscilla just by thinking about Clare. Raki...not so much. Poor Jeanne had to step in and fix that. A life for a life though. It was an honorable sacrifice.

I hear that the anime deviated from the manga starting at ep 20 so I really don't know how Claymore really ended. I enjoyed this ride. I give it 1 thumb up.

You are far more lenient than most are willing to be with Raki, that lil bastard. Yes, it did go away from the manga starting then. Well, as for the Riful of the West, the anime took a twist that the manga didn't, so many of the anime fans are waiting to see if there will be a second season to answer many unanswered questions, that news is still unconfirmed if there will be or not, the manga is setting up differently then the anime, so I don't know what they are going to try and do, if they are going to try and go back to the manga, do something else all together, or to a mixture of the two. As for the manga readers, (just to let you all know, I've seen all the anime and have read up to Vol. 10 of the manga, & know lil bits of what comes up in Volumes 11 & 12,) the story didn't take that twist like Ep. 20 did and has walked a different path. To answer many of your question, I would suggest you start reading the manga, its the best way. I could tell you what you'd like to know, but don't you think that'd be a lil bit to easy, not to mention, unsatisfying.

Well my thing is that I really don't read much manga. I am curious to know what happened in the manga to disappoint them watching the anime but I'm not extremely curious. I am satisfied with the ending so it's okay with me.

Besides, Raki is still a kid. He has the right heart but not the courage really. When he gets older I think he'll be better but until then he needs some work.

Claymore is awesome. I loved it when parts of their body were flinging all over the place.

Danzai no Hana is a good song. I have the mp3 file if anyone wants it. I don't know how I'll send it to you, but oh well.

Lol, to be honest, I don't have one for Claymore. There just isn't one character that I like above the others.

Though there is one I despise above any character in all the anime I've seen to date!!! DAMNED YOU RAKI!!!!!!!!

That person really isn't that bad. I have seen worse people in other shows before. Just because that person truly sucked for 2 episodes that doesn't mean they are a bad person. I think what they did saved her in the long run. You know Teresa wouldn't have done that.

I don't have a favorite character either. None of them I could identify with in the slightest.

The ol' Teresa would have, before Clare changed her. Do you really think he sucked for only two episodes? I started hating him since episode two,

After all that, he just kept going further and further down the toilet. I'm just glad that the manga isn't as bad toward the end.

Hmm... I still don't have a favorite though, I guess the one that shown through the others was when Clare was Awakening the second time. I liked that character, but to say that she was my favorite, not really, there just isn't a character for that yet in this series.

While that is true you can see now that Awakened beings can come back. If it wasn't for his stubbornness especially with Claire she would have been dead as well. Who brought her back? The boy. Why did he do it? Cause they were companions if not friends. The same can be said for Teresa. Claire brought her back but it was more in a metaphorical sense and not a physical sense. Claire brought back her humanity and compassion. She was stubborn and wouldn't let Teresa go. Raki is the same way but more whiny.
